Students on the Blog

Over the weekend, a student from our class logged in as another student, and posted an inappropriate post.  I have discussed this at length with our class today, and have had to make the following changes.  As of today, all posts (not just comments) will have to be moderated by me before going on the blog.  This means that I need to access the blog, and approve it before it can be seen by the public.  In the past, posts from students automatically went onto their blogs, and only comments needed to be moderated.  As a result, if your child blogs from home after school or on the weekend, it may not be visible until the next school day.  I have also started to change passwords that allow for login into the blog.  I will notify your child if their password is changed, and until then the previous password is still able to be used.

This inappropriate post was done on Monday morning, just before 9:00am.  I do ask that if your child is posting from home that you please supervise them.  I understand that many of the students are quite familiar with the blog, and really don't need assistance, but I do ask that you monitor what they are posting.

I am sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause.
