This is today's Math lesson. We have been working on addition/subtraction facts. We have moved into finding the "missing number" in the question. Please take the bag of supplies and work with your child on this concept. Leave some of the animals out (What can you see?) and hide some animals in the cup (What is hiding?) Your child should start with what they see, and "count on/count up" to the appropriate number. For example, if you start with 6 animals, and 2 are left outside the cup, your child should start with 2, then count "3,4,5,6" for a total of four more animals. You can vary how many animals you start with but please make sure your child is aware of the starting number. Please work on this tonight, and return the bag to school on Friday, March 2nd.
