The Grade One class is starting to work on reading strategies AND starting to learn our number words. We practiced reading the book "Maria Counts Pumpkins", and we were so good at reading that we took our show on the road. We found some students in the library that were wonderful listeners!
The book will be coming home, so please continue to read this book with your child. The strategies we worked on the most were pointing at each word, looking at the pictures for hints, and we worked very hard on our number words. Thank you for your help!
