We have decided to try something a little different for Home Reading in the new year. Today your child brought home library books (this will stay the same) and a Reading Journal. This journal will allow them to write down the date, title of the book/magazine/article that they read, and an adult signature.
Students can read their library books, books from home, or a combination of each. They can also document the pages read, for example 30 pages of a chapter book that are read in one day. We feel that this allows for a little bit more flexibility for you at home and a chance to create a HUGE list of the books your child has read.
**Please keep the journal with the library books and return them ALL each Wednesday for a book exchange and journal check-in.
